Here is a possible itinerary for a 12-day Western Uganda safari

Days 1-3: Arrival nd set poff to Western Uganda via Mbarara city

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport. Checking in with the hotels in Entebbe or Kampala city and doing initial preparations to set for a long day drive to Western Uganda is the first on the list. We can do enough packaging to embark on this unforegetable journey. Having received the orientations necessary, setting off through kampala City via te country’s most expensive fly-over towards Mbarara – the land of honey and milk.

We can make a stopover at Igongo cultural center, western Uganda’s biggest cultural center. The center offers a variety of things including exhibitions of the Ankole people.

On proceeding  to Kibale Forest National Park we make visits to Ngogo Chimpanzee Community and have guided nature walk through the forest and conclude the 3days at  Kanyanchu Visitor Centre

Days 4-6: Queen Elizabeth National Park

This park that is named after the Queen of England is yet another place to be at. Twon days in this park involves having Game drives thorugh the park, Boat trips on the Kazinga Channel, a visit to Ishasha Sector (tree-climbing lions) and have a rare Hot air balloon safari.  Based on time factors we can also visit Kyambura Wildlife Reserve

Days 7-9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Are you a fun of mountain Gorilla trekking, nature walk through thick forests or want to experience a life with the Batwa tribe- one of the shortest and yet the bravest tribes in the region; then the wto days at this park will cater for all your needs.

Expect cultural performances by the Batwa pygmies and hike to the top of Mubwindi Swamp

Days 10-12: Semuliki National Park

In western Uganda, by this day you would have known that something is special about every park or place we have been too. At Semuliki, there will be chimpanzee tracking, Hot springs, Volcanic caves, Birdwatching and a cultural visit to the Nyamwamba community.

This 12 day itinerary allows you to spend even more time in each park and experience some of the lesser-known attractions in Western Uganda. If you’re interested in hiking, you can add a hike to the top of Mount Rwenzori in Semuliki National Park.
