8 Days Rwanda Safari Adventure

This 8 Days Rwanda Safari Adventure will give you a great memory of Rwandan tour and you explore and wrap up Rwandan attractions in just 8days. You will be able to visit all the 3 Rwandan parks thus Nyungwe, and Volcanoes National Park, including a visit to Lake Kivu to make your trip fabulous.

You will as well be able to interact with the locals as you go by your day activities.  You will well be able to do both gorilla and golden monkey trekking which is a life time adventure


Day 1: Airport Transfer to Hotel

You begin your magical holiday as you board your fight to Rwanda, a country of a thousand hills. Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will receive a worm welcome from one of our collegues (Naturenest Safaris), who will transfer you to your hotel. Depending on arrival time you can do a city tour, in which you can visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and the old city of Kigali. Overnight stay and dinner at Serena hotel (Luxury hotel), or Hotel des Mille Collines (Midrange hotel) or Quiet Haven Hotel (Budget facility) on Half Board. Meal plan: Dinner

Day 2: Kigali to Nyungwe National Park.

Early in the morning enjoy your breakfast and checkout of the hotel and drive heading to the western province in about 5 hours’ drive. On your way, visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province, this will give you a great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leadership of Kingship with a lunch en route.  You will reach Nyungwe National Park in the afternoon and have a relaxation after a long drive. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel (midrange lodge) or Emeraude

Kivu Resort (Standard lodge) on Full Board Basis. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

Today, after your early morning cap of coffee, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates then be transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After this activity, go for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 70 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a luck day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel (midrange lodge) or Emeraude Kivu Resort (Standard lodge) on Full Board. Day 4: Nyungwe National Park to Lake Kivu- Gisenyi

After a relaxed morning breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Kivu, Gisenyi area, with a beautiful country side ride and view of Lake Kivu, where you will spend a full day, just at your leisure, as you relax at your lodge, enjoying a fresh breathe. Dinner and overnight at Paradise Kivu (midrange lodge) or Paradise Marahide (Standard lodge) on Full Board. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Day 5: Boat ride, Nature walk to Musanze

You will make up ready to catch up with the beautiful sun rise over the Lake Kivu after just getting done with your morning breakfast. You will take a boat ride to explore the beautiful attractions within this great lake. You have a nature walk at one of the islands within this lake which is known for harboring thousands of the bats. This lake is also known as a birding paradise as it host a number of bird species like the comrand, pied king fishers, weaver birds, heron to mention but a few. You will later return for and drive off to Musanze which is roughly a 3 hours’ drive. Musanze is a tourism area near Volcanoes National Park, where most of the lodges are located since there are no lodges inside of the park. Dinner and overnight at Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge (midrange lodge) or The Garden Palace Hotel (Standard lodge) on Full Board. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Cultural Visit

Wake up early in the morning, have a cup of coffee, then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters and thereafter, you will enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search for mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut.

The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience you will return to your lodge. In the afternoon if you are still energetic, you can have a village walk to explore the indigenous local life with a taste of the traditional performance at Iby Iwacu cultural center. Dinner and overnight at Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge (midrange lodge) or The Garden Palace Hotel (Standard lodge) on Full Board. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Day 7: Golden Monkey and Transfer to Kigali

Today after your warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing and start off you day with golden monkey trekking. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though not so hectic like gorilla trekking.

You will later return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to Kigali in about 2 hours. If time permits, you can do a Kigali city tour with a visit to Kigali genocide memorial ground and Kimironko local market for shopping. Dinner and overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines (midrange hotel) or Chez Land hotel (Standard hotel). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 8: Transfer to the Airport

After a relaxed breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch up with your flight
