Detailed Itinerary of 5 days Kenya tour

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi city to Masai Mara national reserve and afternoon game drive

After breakfast, you’re 5 Days Kenya safari vacation begins with a pick-up from the lodge and a safari briefing by our driver or guide. The journey to the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve is around 265 km long and takes 5 hours, passing through the lovely savannah grasslands and plains of the Great Rift Valley with amazing views of Mountain Suswa, Mountain Margaret, and Mountain Longonot. You shall arrive in time for lunch, check-in in at your lodge for lunch and some rest.

The Masai Mara game reserve is one of the world’s nine natural wonders and a popular tourist attraction in Kenya, noted for its migration of wildebeest along the Mara River. Crocodiles and hippos can be found in the river as it flows through the Mara. The area is teeming with animals, including a pride of lions resting or circling in the beautiful woodland savannah grassland, as well as the big five. Hyenas, antelopes, topis, dik-dik, and zebras are among other animals expected to spot.

In the late afternoon, you will go for the game evening game drive where you will able to spot the big five and other various wildlife animals such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest, after the game drive you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-day game drive at Masai mara game reserve

After breakfast at the lodge, you will explore the park’s incredibly dense game population. A full day of wildlife drives with a picnic lunch along the Mara River while admiring the scenery of crocodiles relaxing on the brown-muddy river banks creates unforgettable African safari memories. The Maasai Mara’s rolling grasslands provide excellent game viewing and picture possibilities, and the plains of grass are broken up by rocky outcrops that serve as favoured midday resting spots for Lions.

In an annual dramatic occurrence, millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. This makes the Mara a hub of “wildlife activities,” drawing thousands of pastoral game and predators with them.

In the evening you can opt to visit or tour the Masai local community, you’ll learn about their customs and herding lifestyle, as well as possibly purchase some of their beaded artistry. Then you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
