Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara national park
On the first day of this 7-day Tanzania safari tour, you will be picked up by your driver from an Arusha hotel, then go on a 2-hour, 120-kilometer drive to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will check in to a hotel or lodge for lunch and some rest. A large but shallow soda lake makes about two-thirds of the park’s area in Lake Manyara National Park, which is situated at the base of the huge east African rift valley. Numerous creatures are drawn to the park, including one of the highest densities of elephants in Africa, the rare tree-climbing lions, plus sizable flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae.
After lunch, you will go on a game drive in the afternoon, with the possibility of seeing tree climbing lions and other wildlife in this beautiful park. Later in the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer from Lake Manyara to Serengeti national park
The day begins with an early breakfast. After breakfast, you go on an unforgettable African journey of around 6 hours and 280 kilometers north to the Serengeti National Park. Passing through the chilly crater highlands, lovely Maasai communities, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Serengeti National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, among Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders, and the scene for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration, which takes place from November to July, along with exceptional game watching all year.
Upon arrival, enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive before continuing to the lodge in the center Serengeti. The Seronera River Valley is one of the best areas in Africa to witness Big Cats – lions, leopards, and cheetahs on thrilling hunts and is part of the “Great Wildebeest Migration.” You arrive at your lodge in the evening to rest, eat, and sleep.

Day 3: Full Day game drive in Serengeti National Park.
During the third day of your seven-day wildlife and photography adventure, you will start the morning with an early breakfast before embarking on an exciting game drive in the Central Serengeti. You will return to the lodge during the hottest hours of the day to have an ample meal and rest, possibly taking a siesta. In the afternoon, you’ll head out for another game drive to look for additional animals and birds.
Experience the breathtaking Seronera Valley, located at the heart of the Serengeti during wildlife and photography adventure. It features infinite lengths of savannah-covered open grasslands mixed with umbrella-shaped acacia trees, meandering rivers, wetlands, and huge granite kopje mounds. During your drive, you will see large pods of hippos, herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, topis, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, elands, impalas, and waterbucks. You may even spot some of their predators, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. The Serengeti is also home to over 500 bird species, such as Fischer’s Lovebird, Mayor’s Parrot, Common Ostrich, Kori Bustard, Secretary bird, and more.
After the game drive, you can return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and a comfortable night’s stay.

Day 4: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater area
You will start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge, then head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, you’ll stop at Olduvai Gorge, a site with a fascinating history dating back to the beginning of time. Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey, anthropologists, discovered the skulls of “Nutcracker Man” and “Handy Man,” believed to be the earliest humans, here.
You’ll arrive at the caldera in time for lunch and check into your lodge. In the afternoon, you’ll descend almost 500 meters into the Ngorongoro crater to spend the rest of the day viewing wildlife. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a diverse range of animals, including wildebeest, eland, warthog, zebra, buffalo, hippopotamus, and African elephants, as well as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. Lake Magadi, a massive but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern portion of the crater, is one of the main features. In the evening, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer from Ngorongoro crater to Tarangire national park
You will be served a hearty breakfast at your lodge, afterwards check out and meet your Tanzanian safari driver for a transfer to Tarangire National Park, which is around 160 kilometers distant and takes approximately 3 hours to reach. You will check into your reserved lodge for lunch and rest.
Tarangire is a stunningly diversified wilderness with a riverine forest, massive marshes, and open woodlands dotted with Africa’s renowned baobab trees. Tarangire is also famous for its elephant herds and tree-climbing lions. It also has Africa’s typical large game as well as some unique ones, such as the long-necked gerenuk. The Park provides a safe haven for large predators and over 520 bird species.
You will embark on a game drive in the afternoon. During your game drive in the national park, you will encounter wildlife such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, and waterbucks, alongside the many different bird species of which the park is famous. You will enjoy viewing the sunset in the national park’s wilderness before being driven to your lodge for dinner and stay.

Day 6: Full day game drive in Tarangire national park
After a leisurely breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring Tarangire National area, with morning and sunset game drives to explore the area in depth and a picnic lunch. Tarangire is a delightful peaceful park off the usual safari track.
Best known for its the mid-year dry-season game viewing, when thousands of animals, particularly some of Tanzania’s largest elephant herds, congregate at the vital Tarangire River. Its vast savannah grasslands are peppered with hundreds of Africa’s prehistoric ‘Trees of Life,’ including the continent’s biggest tree, the baobab. In the evening return to your lodge for dinner and rest.
Day 7: Drive from Tarangire to Arusha for departure
You will have a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before traveling back to Arusha. Your guide will drop you off at a hotel or the airport for your onward travel plans, bringing this wonderful 7-day wildlife and photography adventure to a close.
