Detailed itinerary of the tour
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and a transfer to Samburu National Reserve
Depending on your time of arrival at the airport, our guide will pick you up from the airport and embark with you on a 5 hour transfer drive to Samburu National Reserve. Samburu is an arid area filled with culture and traditions in that people livestock and wildlife stay in the same surrounding. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch, you’ll proceed on an afternoon game drive in Samburu Reserve on the search for the rarely seen iconic Samburu Special Five like giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, oryx, Somali ostrich, gerenuk among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve
Have a hearty breakfast and proceed to the park for an exciting morning game drive in the game-rich wilderness of Samburu National Reserve. Samburu is famous for its population of lions and is also the best place in Kenya to encounter leopards and elephants. Expect to see various wildlife animals like Hippos, Cheetahs, Wild dogs, Crocodiles, Striped Hyenas, Grant’s Gazelles, Dik-diks, Impalas, Kudus, and Waterbucks. After the drive, you’ll return to your lodge for lunch and a little rest. Afterward, set off for an afternoon game drive not only to encounter mammals but also bird species like Vulturine Guineafowl, Taita falcon, Golden pipit, and others. You may also decide to have an additional visit to a local Samburu village depending on your choice. After the exciting day, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and a night’s rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
Wake up, have a leisurely breakfast, and set off on a 3–4-hour drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The conservancy is situated on the Laikipia Plateau on the foothills of Mount Kenya, Africa’s second-tallest mountain. Covering an area of 362 square kilometers, the conservancy is as well home to the planet’s last two northern white rhinos. You’ll arrive at your lodge for lodge and proceed for a game drive on the look for the Big 5 and other animals. You’ll also visit Sweetwater’s Chimpanzee Sanctuary where you can spot the highly intelligent apes who share about 98.6% of our genetic DNA. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 4: Full Day game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
On day 4, have breakfast and proceed for a morning game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy to spot the f fauna and flora species of this beautiful wildlife area. Ol Pejeta is home to all other Big 5 animals of Africa with the highest densities of predators recorded like over 100 spotted Hyenas, 60 Lions, 20 Leopards, 30 cheetahs, 30 African wild dogs, Black-backed jackals, Serval cats, Caracal, foxes, and others. You shall also encounter Gravy’s zebras, zebras, Hippos, Hartebeests, Impalas, Giraffes, Gazelles, Elands, Bushbucks, Dik-diks, Baboons, Warthogs, and more. After the drive, you’ll return to the lodge for a scrumptious lunch and again set off on another game drive on the lookout for special bird species like Arnaud’s barbet, Hildebrandt’s starling, Abyssinian Scimitar bill, Taita fiscal, Temminck’s courser, Common ostrich, Secretary bird, and others. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge, and embark on the 5-hour drive towards the south to Lake Nakuru National Park. During the drive, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya characterized by acacia forests, waterfalls, and a rocky landscape. The Park is a paradise for bird lovers usually with flocks of flamingos. You shall arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and proceed for an afternoon game drive where you’ll encounter various bird species besides the flamingos. Expect to enjoy views of birds like pelicans, waterfowl, fish eagles, and Verreaux’s eagle including wildlife mammals like lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, Hippos, giraffes, and Rhinos among others. After the engaging game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Day 6 of the 10 days Kenya safari will begin with a delicious breakfast. You’ll then check out of the lodge and head in for a 2-hour drive to the fascinating rift valley freshwater lake, Lake Naivasha located near Hell’s Gate National Park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy lunch and go in for a boat tour across the lake with views of hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and countless species of water birds. After the boat launch, you will take a guided nature walk on the lake’s Crescent Island Game Sanctuary expecting to gain views of wildlife animals such as Zebras, Giraffes, Colobus monkeys, and some peaceful wild animals because they are no predators within the sanctuary. In the evening, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Take your delicious breakfast and set off for a 4-hour transfer journey to Masai Mara National Reserve taken by many to be the best wildlife destination on the planet. Masai Mara is home to the Great Wildebeest Migration which is among the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and the ten wonders of the World. The Masai Mara National Reserve is also home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of lions, cheetahs, and leopards also known as the big cats. You’ll arrive at the lodge in time for lunch then head in for your first game drive in Masai Mara. After the drive, return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 8: Full-day game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve
Day 8 begins with a leisurely breakfast at the lodge then you immediately embark on a full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. Masai Mara is home to numerous populations of wildlife such as the Big 5 including rear mammal species like bat-eared foxes, Caracal, Jackals, cheetahs, Serval Cats, Honey badgers, and Roan antelope. The Great Wildebeest Migration happens during July to October with over two million, Zebra, Topi, Eland, Gazelle and Wildebeest migrate from Serengeti to Maasai Mara on a quest for fresh grass. You will return to the lodge, enjoy dinner and take a night’s rest.

Day 9: Morning game drive in Masai Mara followed by a visit to the Maasai people
Have a hearty breakfast and head back to Masai Mara for yet another game drive to get views of animals you must have missed the previous day. Masai Mara is not only home to mammal species but also inhabited by over 450 bird species varying from prehistoric-looking ostrich to guinea fowl, Turaco, and a galaxy of greater than 45 species of raptors. You’ll return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation then later pay a visit to the authentic Maasai Village to get to understand more about the Maasai culture and life of the Maasai People who migrated around the 17th and 18th centuries into the region from what is currently South Sudan.

Day 10: Transfer to the airport for departure
On the last day of the safari, you will have an early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and enjoy one more last chance to view the Big 5 in Maasai Mara National Park. Thereafter, embark on a 6-hour drive to the Airport via Nairobi where you may decide to buy some items depending on the time of your scheduled flight. Your amazing 10 days Kenya tour ends here.
