Rwanda’s most popular National Park, Volcanoes National Park or PNV known by the locals of Rwanda is home to Mountain Gorillas and is located on the slopes of the Virunga Mountain ranges. It’s also a park that’s filled with biodiversity. You shall also visit Nyungwe Forest National Park for an amazing Chimpanzee tracking activity as well

Stop At: Kigali
The pick-up is from Kigali where our guide will provide you with the tour overview and drive you through to the genocide war memorial center as you get introduced to a Rwandan life
Stop At: Nyungwe Forest National Park
The tour leads you to Nyungwe forest which is home to amazing chimpanzees and many other unique primate species
Stop At: Volcanoes national park
Head to volcanoes national park to have an amazing time with the enigmatic mountain gorillas in their various families during a Gorilla trekking activity
Stop At: Kigali
The tour comes to an end with a drop off at the airport in Kigali for your onward flight

DETAILED 5 DAYS RWANDA SAFARI ITINERARY.
Day 1; Arrival and pick from the airport followed by a city excursion
Upon arriving at the airport, our guide will meet you up and brief you about the amazing tour. You will be transferred to Kigali for a city tour where you will visit the genocide war memorial centers site where over 250000 people were interred in 1994. After, you’ll be driven to the main city market where you may decide to interact with the locals within the market as you get used to the new Rwanda experience. Later be driven to Nyungwe national park where you shall check in to the lodge, have dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 2; Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park
On day 2, have an early delicious morning breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for registration and briefing/orientation before embarking in for the chimp trekking. During the activity, you shall be accompanied by a skilled park ranger as you will finally encounter the precious chimpanzee creatures jumping from one tree to another with chatter and giggle sounds. Nyungwe forest is also home to many unique primates like the Angola monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, velvet monkeys, grey checked mangabeys, golden monkeys and many others. Later return to lodge for dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 3; Canopy walk at Uwinka visitors center and a transfer to volcanoes national park
Have an early morning breakfast and set off for Uwinka visitors center for a canopy walk to see and experience the beauty packed within the forest, the canopy walk is reward full with views of primates like golden monkeys and bird species like Kungwe Apaliser, Shelley crimson wing and, Grauer’s Warbl and others. After the walk, you shall be transferred to volcanoes national park. Upon arrival at the park, check in to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park and a visit to ibyiwachu village
Have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and proceed to Volcanoes national park headquarters for an orientation by the Rwanda Development Board officials ahead of your life experience gorilla trekking activity. The Park rangers will guide you deep into the forest along the terrains on the search for the gorillas with no guarantee of the duration the tracking experience will last as it depends on where the family of gorillas are situated. For those willing to participate in this activity, fitness is obviously paramount. Upon encountering the enigmatic mountain gorillas, you shall be allowed to gain close contact with the gorillas for a period of one-hour in order to boost up your trekking experience. You shall return to the lodge for lunch and later pay a visit to ibyiwachu village for a more adverse cultural experience of the Rwandan culture. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night rest

Day 5; Transfer to the airport for departure
Have a leisurely breakfast, check out of your lodge, and set off for a transfer to the airport in Kigali ahead of your onward flight home depending on the flight schedule. This day marks the end of your tour.
