DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Mgahinga national park
You will be picked up from your Entebbe lodging after an early breakfast and driven to Mgahinga national park. At the Equator, you’ll pause to take pictures, test the water, and examine the crafts. You will later continue to Mbarara where you will stop for lunch at the Igongo Cultural Center, and proceed to Mgahinga national park after that. It takes around 8 hours to travel to the park from Kampala, which is located about 450 kilometers to the west. You pass the undulating hills of Mbarara and Kabale on your way to Mgahinga Park. Arrive in the evening, and check in at your lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and cultural tour
After an early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters, where you will be briefed by park rangers on what to do and what not to do while in the park. You will also be divided into groups of eight. After that, proceed and begin gorilla trekking these gentle giants as advised by the rangers. It is a memorable and amazing experience to observe the mountain gorillas feed, play, and go about their daily activities. This exercise can take 2 hours or up to 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ location and movement. When you meet the gorillas, you will spend one hour photographing them. After will transfer to Bwindi to meet the local people. you will reach In the late afternoon, embark on a cultural tour of the Batwa community, where you will be exposed to their culture through the way they live, dance, and hear stories about their culture that will make you amazed. after driving to the lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 3: Transfer back to Entebbe international airport for departure flight
After a leisurely breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe, traveling through rolling hills with terraces and admiring the lovely nature of the many locations you will pass through. Lunch will be served in Mbarara, followed by a stop at Mbambire Drum Makers Point before continuing to Entebbe, where you will arrive late in the afternoon. Depending on the schedule, the guide may drop you off at the hotel or at the airport to catch your journey back home, putting this three-day safari to a close.
