Arrival in Kilimanjaro & Transfer to Usambara
Arrive and drive to the Eastern Usambara Mountains.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and drive east to the Eastern Usambara Mountains. Evening birding around the lodge gardens for sunbirds and weavers.

Amani Nature Reserve — Endemic Birding
Full day in the cloud forests targeting Usambara endemics.
Full day exploring Amani Nature Reserve, one of Tanzania's most important birding sites. Target species include Usambara Weaver, Usambara Akalat, Long-billed Tailorbird, Amani Sunbird, and the rare Banded Green Sunbird. The ancient Eastern Arc cloud forest harbors dozens of endemic and near-endemic species.

Western Usambara Mountains
Transfer to Lushoto for highland birding.
Drive to Lushoto in the Western Usambara Mountains. Birding along forest trails targeting Montane White-eye, Eastern Double-collared Sunbird, Spot-throat, Usambara Hyliota. The cool highland climate offers comfortable birding conditions.

Transfer to Tarangire — Baobab Birding
Drive to Tarangire for savanna and baobab woodland birds.
Transfer to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive baobab trees and elephant herds. Afternoon game drive and birding targeting Ashy Starling, Yellow-collared Lovebird, Rufous-tailed Weaver (Tanzania endemics), and various raptors including Bateleur Eagle.

Lake Manyara — Waterbird Paradise
Birding at Lake Manyara for flamingos and waterbirds.
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The alkaline lake attracts thousands of Lesser and Greater Flamingos, while the groundwater forest holds Silvery-cheeked Hornbill, Crowned Eagle, Narina Trogon. Over 400 species have been recorded in this compact park.

Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Morning birding on the crater rim at 2,300m targeting Augur Buzzard, Schalow's Turaco, Eastern Double-collared Sunbird, Hunter's Cisticola. Descend into the crater for game viewing and birding with Kori Bustard, Grey Crowned Crane, Rosy-throated Longclaw.

Birding the endless Serengeti plains for grassland specialists.
Drive into Serengeti National Park. The vast grasslands host unique birding: Secretary Bird, Grey-breasted Spurfowl, Fischer's Lovebird, Tanzanian Red-billed Hornbill. Game driving alongside wildebeest herds while scanning kopjes for Verreaux's Eagle and Mocking Cliff-chat.
