7 Days Meru and Masai Mara Safari Package

Board a flight bound for the Meru National Park in the morning and be transferred from the Nairobi City hustle and bustle the tranquility of the African bush. At the airstrip, your guide will drive you to the camp giving you a game drive along the way. Look for hippos and crocodiles as you pass through the rivers, vervet and colobus monkeys in the tree canopy along the river banks. The open plains are dotted with acacias and mighty baobabs which provide much needed reprieve to the elephants from the harsh African sun. the camp sits on the top of a large kopje affording panoramic views across the park. In the afternoon, go for a game drive towards the forested area and search for caracal and kudus.

Wake up early and see the sleeping hyraxes huddled together on top your solar panel as you make your way down to the safari vehicle for an early morning game drive. Watch as the sun rises and the savanna takes on a rosy hue, the nocturnal game looks for shelter and the plains game celebrate another night survival. Meander through the various habitats along the many rivers, forests and open plains. Observe gerenuk reaching up on their hind legs to feed on the tasty lower branches of acacias

Have a cooked breakfast in the camp before heading out to the airstrip to board a scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. The scenic flight is a great opportunity to take in the landscape of Kenya. Delight in some of the best game viewing in Africa en-route to the camp, look for Topi as they stand proudly on top of an antihill. Search for cheetahs lying down in the golden grass plains on the hunt for any passing game.

Settle into your tent, a cool oasis overlooking the river. Watch from the comfort of your veranda as numerous mammals come down to drink. In the late afternoon, take a game drive with your guide and explore the Masai Mara. Heading back to the camp as the sun begins to fall in time for some pre dinner drinks and canapés around the fire.

The Masai Mara is a patchy landscape of open savannahs dotted with umbrella Acacia trees. Traverse the area in a safari vehicle driven by Knowledgeable guides who know the area intimately. Learn more about the fascinating termites whose homes tower across the plains. On the final morning of your Meru and Masai Mara safari package, there will be a final game drive in the Masai Mara. Have a delicious breakfast before being driven to the airstrip and catching a flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. see herds of Elephants, graceful Giraffe and plains game while on your game drives. Search for Leopards languishing in a tree. Look for cheetahs and lions intent on a kill. The Masai Mara is the ideal destination at any time of the year as it offers some exceptional game viewing.
