Drive to Machame Gate. Register and begin your trek through lush montane rainforest. Spot monkeys and exotic birds as you ascend. Camp at Machame Camp. Hiking: 5-7 hours.
Trek through the heath zone with stunning moorland views. Emerge above the clouds for your first views of Kibo peak. Camp at Shira Plateau. Hiking: 4-6 hours.
Hike to Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp. "Climb high, sleep low" strategy maximizes summit success. Hiking: 7-8 hours.
Scale the famous Barranco Wall — a thrilling scramble with incredible views. Continue through the Karanga Valley to camp. Hiking: 4-5 hours.
Trek through alpine desert to high camp at Barafu. Rest and prepare for summit night. Early dinner and brief sleep before midnight departure. Hiking: 3-4 hours.
Midnight start for the summit push. Reach Stella Point at dawn, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Celebrate at the Roof of Africa! Descend to Mweka Camp. Hiking: 12-15 hours.
Final descent through the rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificate. Transfer to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha. Celebration dinner! Hiking: 3-4 hours.
