Day 1: Kampala- Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Head to Bwindi found in South Western Uganda home to the rare mountain Gorillas. Along the way, you will have spectacular views from the landscape which starts from the flat lands to the rolling steep hills, it’s really a breathtaking journey. Have lunch en route in Mbarara and later proceed to Bwindi arriving in the late afternoon. Check-in at either Lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Gorilla trekking- Bwindi Forest
On this day, be early to raise and have your breakfast early and pack your lunch, after which you will be taken to the park headquarters for briefing from the Park rangers at 8:00 am concerning the rules in the park, what to do and not to do when you meet up with the gorillas. Tracking Gorillas takes between 2 and 8 hours. When you meet up with the gorillas it’s your dream come true as it will be a great time watching the playful juveniles, the silverbacks, and also other gentle giants feed the young ones. Take as many photos as you want with your camera flash off. Later head back to your lodge and rest. In the evening you can take an evening walk through the Batwa community, this will give you chance to interact with these people, learn how they live and also watch them perform their traditional dances and songs. Return back to the lodge, have dinner, and Overnight Lodge
Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park
Start off your journey to Kibale National Park. A lot will be enjoyed on this thrilling journey including the scenery in Kabale. You will have a stop to take photos if there is a need as you continue to Kibale arriving late evening. Proceed and check in at Chimpanzee Guest House(Mid-range)
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking- Kibale Forest
After breakfast, proceed to the park for Chimpanzee tracking, it is an amazing experience. You will also have an opportunity to see beautiful birds and other primates such as the White and Black colobus monkeys, Baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and Grey-cheeked mangabeys among others. On meeting the chimpanzees, it will be amazing as you will watch them jump on different branches, watch them feed and play, and will also see nests in which they rest/sleep. Take enough photos but with your camera flash off. Later return back for lunch at the lodge, check out, and get back on the road to Kampala for your flight
