Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Musanze

Explore Kigali landmarks and transfer to the Virunga foothills.

Begin with a guided tour of Kigali, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand Rwanda’s history, followed by a stop at vibrant local markets and craft shops. After lunch at a local restaurant, depart for the 2.5-hour scenic drive to Musanze, passing through Rwanda’s famous terraced hillsides. Arrive at your lodge with stunning views of the Virunga volcanoes. Evening briefing about tomorrow’s gorilla trek.

The highlight — one hour with mountain gorillas.

Early morning drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for your briefing. Rangers assign you to a gorilla family. Trek through bamboo forests and volcanic slopes for 1 to 4 hours. Spend an unforgettable one hour with mountain gorillas. Afternoon visit to Iby’iwacu Cultural Village to experience traditional Rwandan culture, including dance, music, and local crafts. Return to your lodge for dinner.
