Drive to Volcanoes NP. Afternoon golden monkey tracking in the bamboo forests — playful, photogenic primates unique to the Virungas. Lodge near Volcanoes NP.

Morning drive to Volcanoes National Park (2.5 hours). After lunch, trek into the montane forest to track golden monkeys — smaller and more agile than gorillas, with stunning golden-orange fur. These endemic primates are playful and photogenic, making for excellent wildlife viewing.

Gorilla Trekking

Morning gorilla trekking in Volcanoes NP — one magical hour with a habituated family. Afternoon visit Twin Lakes Ruhondo & Bulera with stunning volcanic views. Lodge near Volcanoes NP.
