DETAILED ITINARARY NGORONGORO TANZANIA WILDLIFE SAFARI
Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Serengeti
After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will drive from Arusha for the world’s most famous national park, the Serengeti. You’ll travel through the crater highlands, stopping briefly at the rim for an out-of-this-world panorama of the Ngorongoro Crater. Observe the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera (264 km2), which was formed by a strong volcanic eruption and is home to an incredible 25,000 large mammals all year, including some of Africa’s highest densities of lions and rare black rhinos, wildebeests, and zebras.
After that, continue your journey to Serengeti. This park’s huge grasslands stretch to the horizon, challenging your senses and perception of distance. Check into the lodge for a rest, then embark on a game drive in the afternoon to see wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various antelopes, including the plentiful impalas and Thomson’s gazelles. Keep an eye out for Big Cats and huge predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Smaller creatures such as foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, rock hyrax, and African hares, as well as over 500 bird species. After you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive in Serengeti and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater area
Get up early for breakfast, then go on an early morning game drive when wildlife are more active to see nocturnal creatures in early predator-prey action. Also enjoy the greatest sunrise views and waves in the Serengeti plains. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the local African language, and seeing the grassland roll out as far as the eye can see before merging with the sky at the horizon is a breathtaking sight.
The Serengeti ecosystem is home to the majority of Africa’s remaining animals. You look for Serengeti “Kopjes,” which are massive granite outcrops standing in a sea of grass. They provide an abundance of habitat for a diverse range of plants and animals.
Explore the Seronera River, which attracts many species due to its importance as a source of water during the dry season. This area is good for wildlife watching. The park is well-known for its diverse resident wildlife population, including the “big five,” Because of the abundance of prey species, the Serengeti is said to have the most lions in Africa. Approximately 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. These secretive carnivores, African Leopards, are frequently sighted.
You return to the lodge for lunch after the game drive.
In the afternoon, you will travel to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s eighth wonder. The crater is 2000 feet high, resembling Noah’s ark and home to nearly every kind of fauna native to East Africa. It’s one of the few places on the entire continent where you can see a black rhino. The concentration of animals in Africa is the highest on the continent. The crater contains a river, many marshes, and a soda lake teeming with flamingos, a forest, and wide grasslands. It is also famed for its elephants, which are the world’s largest and have enormous tusks.
