The Great Migration is the largest overland animal movement on Earth — an awe-inspiring spectacle of nature's raw power.
Our guides use decades of experience and real-time data to position you exactly where the herds are crossing.
Stay in premium mobile tented camps that follow the migration — always in the heart of the action.
Witness the dramatic Mara River crossings where crocodiles await — nature's most thrilling wildlife moment.
The migration never stops — calving in Feb, Mara crossings Jul–Oct, return Nov–Dec. We track it all year.
Lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and crocodiles follow the herds — every day is a wildlife drama.

The Great Migration never stops: around 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra move in a year-round loop. December to March they calve on the short-grass plains around Ndutu in the southern Serengeti; April and May they move north-west; June and July they cross the Grumeti River; July to October they cross the Mara River between the northern Serengeti and Kenya's Masai Mara; November they drift south again as the short rains begin.
Choose the park by your dates: southern Serengeti (Ndutu) for calving and big-cat action in January to March, the western corridor in June, the northern Serengeti (Kogatende) or the Masai Mara for river crossings from late July to early October. Nothing is guaranteed on a given day, so two or three nights near the herds give you the best chance of a crossing.
Serengeti entry is US$70.80 per adult per day and the Masai Mara reserve fee US$200 per adult per day in peak season (July to December). Mobile camps that follow the herds cost more than permanent lodges but put you minutes from the river. Our migration safaris run from 4-day Serengeti trips to 10-day Kenya-and-Tanzania circuits, with budget camping, mid-range lodges or luxury tented camps.
For the Serengeti fly into Kilimanjaro (JRO) with KLM from Amsterdam or via Doha, Istanbul and Addis; for the Masai Mara fly into Nairobi, with direct flights from London, Amsterdam and Paris. Cross-border trips use the Isebania border or a flight between Nairobi and the Serengeti airstrips.
