Nairobi to Masai Mara
Airport pick-up, scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley (approx. 5–6 hours)
Your guide meets you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (or your Nairobi hotel) for a short safari briefing. The drive west passes the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and the volcanoes of Longonot and Suswa before reaching the Masai Mara National Reserve. Check in, relax and, time permitting, enjoy a short evening game drive.

Full day in the Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives across the Mara plains
A full day exploring Kenya's most famous reserve, with a picnic lunch in the park. The Mara is home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and buffalo, plus topi, eland, hartebeest, hyena and jackal. From July to October the Great Wildebeest Migration is here, with dramatic crossings of the Mara River. An early-morning hot-air balloon flight or a visit to a Maasai village can be added at extra cost.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park (approx. 5–6 hours), afternoon game drive
After breakfast, check out and drive north to Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake shore is known for flamingos, pelicans and more than 400 other bird species, while the park protects both black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffe and tree-climbing lions. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and the view from Baboon Cliff before heading to your lodge.

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Short drive (approx. 1.5–2 hours), boat ride and Crescent Island walk
A morning drive brings you to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake in the Rift Valley. After lunch, take a boat ride to see hippos, African fish eagles and many water birds, then land on Crescent Island for a guided walk among zebra, giraffe, wildebeest and waterbuck – there are no big predators on the island. Hell's Gate National Park (cycling or hiking) is a popular alternative.

Lake Naivasha to Amboseli
Drive south to Amboseli National Park (approx. 5–6 hours)
Leave the Rift Valley after breakfast and drive via Nairobi to Amboseli National Park at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. On a clear day the snow-capped summit appears on the horizon as you arrive. Check in and, if time allows, go out on a short evening game drive.

Full day in Amboseli
Morning and afternoon game drives with Kilimanjaro views
Amboseli is famous for its big elephant herds, often photographed with Kilimanjaro behind them. Spend the day exploring the swamps, open plains and Observation Hill, looking out for elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and hippo, along with more than 400 bird species. Early morning usually gives the clearest mountain views.

Amboseli to Nairobi
Early game drive, then drive to Nairobi (approx. 4–5 hours) and drop-off
Enjoy a final early-morning game drive to catch the animals you may have missed, then return to the lodge for breakfast. Drive back to Nairobi for drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight. A short Nairobi stop can be added if your flight time allows.
