Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes NP
Welcome to Rwanda, optional Genocide Memorial visit, then drive north.
Our representative meets you at Kigali International Airport and briefs you on your three-country safari. Time permitting, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, then transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Gorilla Trekking & Iby’iwacu Village
An hour with mountain gorillas, then Rwandan culture.
After a briefing at Kinigi park headquarters, trek (2–6 hours) through bamboo forest to find your mountain gorilla family and spend an unforgettable hour with them. After lunch, visit the Iby’iwacu cultural village.

Transfer to Nyungwe Forest & Canopy Walk
Scenic drive south to the rainforest and its famous canopy walk.
A 5–6 hour drive (about 240 km) to Nyungwe Forest National Park. In the afternoon, walk out onto the canopy walkway, a 50-metre suspended bridge with a bird’s-eye view of a forest home to 12 primate species and over 300 bird species.

Chimpanzee Trekking & Tea Plantation Tour
Track chimps in the morning, visit a tea estate in the afternoon.
After a briefing at Uwinka, set out at 8 AM to track chimpanzees (2–6 hours) and spend an hour with them once found. In the afternoon, tour one of Nyungwe’s tea plantations.

Drive back to Kigali and fly to Nairobi.
After breakfast, drive to Kigali International Airport for your flight to Nairobi, where our team meets you and transfers you to your hotel.

Drive through the Great Rift Valley for an afternoon game drive.
A four-hour drive with breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley brings you to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch, go on a game drive in this birdwatcher’s paradise, home to over 400 bird species including great white pelicans and flamingos.

Transfer to the Masai Mara
Drive to Kenya’s most famous reserve for an afternoon game drive.
A 4–5 hour drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, home of the Great Migration and one of Africa’s highest concentrations of lions, cheetahs and leopards. After lunch, head out on an afternoon game drive.

Full Day in the Masai Mara
A full-day game drive with a picnic lunch on the savannah.
Explore the Mara’s open plains all day with a picnic lunch, looking for the Big Five and rarer species such as bat-eared foxes, caracals and servals. From July to October, the Great Migration crosses the Mara River here.

Game drive to the Isebania border, then on to the Serengeti.

Olduvai Gorge & Ngorongoro Crater
Visit the cradle of mankind, then descend into the crater.
Travel to the Ngorongoro area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge, where the Leakeys made famous early-human discoveries. In the afternoon, descend about 600 m to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera, for a game drive.
