Transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater
Drive to the crater and descend to its floor.
A four-hour drive (about 160 km) brings you to the Ngorongoro Crater area in time for lunch. In the afternoon, descend some 600 m to the crater floor, a collapsed volcano about 2.5 million years old and home to lions, rhinos, elephants and huge herds.
